When should I use
Consider the Autoimmune Profile Comprehensive for evaluating and monitoring a wide range of autoimmune disorders. It identifies antibodies associated with symptoms like arthritis, neurological issues, skin rashes, immune reactions to food, and swollen lymph nodes. This test aids in diagnosing conditions such as Coeliac disease, thyroid disorders, Fibromyalgia, Scleroderma, Discoid lupus, Sjögren's syndrome, and Mixed connective tissue disease. Additionally, it helps detect abnormalities in liver function and autoimmune-related systemic and rheumatic diseases like Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Autoimmune hepatitis, and Primary biliary cirrhosis.
If the patient is taking steroids, immunosuppressant medications or other medications that may suppress antibodies please check if it is appropriate for them to test.
