MOAT ( Microbial Organic Acid Test)

£170.00

The Microbial Organic Acids Test (MOAT) by Great Plains Laboratories is included in the Organic Acids Test (OAT) and reports on the metabolites produced by yeast and bacteria. Elevated test values are usually found in yeast or bacterial dysbiosis. This test measures 21 metabolites (including creatinine) such as markers for beneficial bacteria, Clostridia species, Candida species, yeast and fungal metabolites as well as general markers of dysbiosis. The MOAT is the ideal follow up to the OAT and is recommended when looking for a specific abnormality, to monitor certain microbial imbalances or to assess treatment efficacy. However the comprehensive OAT is strongly recommended as the initial clinical screening tool.
