The Parasitology with PCR Profile tests for the presence of parasites from a one, two or three-day stool sample. The test can be used as a follow up to check the efficacy of treatment after an initial more comprehensive test has been conducted. Parasitic infections may be an underlying etiological factor in several chronic conditions and are indicated for gastrointestinal symptoms, autoimmune disease, joint pain, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, food sensitivity, nutritional deficiencies and skin conditions.
