Description
The Mercury Tri Test assesses hair, blood and urine to determine the magnitude of mercury burden, the source of exposure as well as the body's ability to excrete each form of mercury.
Methodology
Mercury speciation is performed at Quicksilver Scientific and values are in concentrations of ng Hg per mL of blood. Blood MeHg (ng/mL) is compared to Hair HgT (ng/g). Blood HgII (ng/ml) is compared to Urine HgII (ng/mL)
When should I use
When mercury toxicity is suspected, eg history of amalgam dental fillings, consumption of fish and shellfish containing methylmercury or exposure via using or breaking products containing mercury.
